This morning, Cllr Linda Corbett and Cllr Danny Thomas presented a cheque to Ysgol Maes y Felin for £100.
The donation was made as part of Holywell Town Council’s Eco Uniform initiative. The Town Council runs the Eco Uniform Hub on the third Thursday of the month from 10.00am until 1.00pm at the Events Hub (opposite Tesco Car Park).
Parents donate unwanted uniforms which can then be used again. When parents get the uniforms they can make a voluntary donation and these donations are collected and presented in rotation to the local schools.
The Eco Uniform initiative not only supports the local community and schools but also supports the environment by reducing the carbon footprint associated with buying new clothes.
