As part of Holywell’s participation in Wales in Bloom each year, we hold a competition amongst local primary schools each year for the winner of School in Bloom.
This year was particularly tough for the Mayor to judge as the standard throughout the schools was particularly high, along with the enthusiasm from pupils and staff for managing their green spaces with some fantastic sustainability and recycling projects as part of this.
We want to congratulate our deserved winners this year Ysgol Maes y Felin.

“Congratulations to the dedicated staff and the pupils for their fantastic efforts for Wales in Bloom. Their hard work in sustainability, horticulture, and caring for the environment shines through in every aspect of their work. The team clearly worked hard to bring colour, life, and pride to their school environment.
The commitment shown not only teaches valuable skills but also nurtures a sense of responsibility for the world around us. I want to thank everyone involved for their creativity, passion, and teamwork in making such a positive difference.”
