Our Nurture Provision
At Ysgol Maes y Felin, we know that children learn best when they feel happy, safe and understood. Our Nurture Provision is a calm and caring space where children can take time to build their confidence, develop friendships, and learn how to manage big feelings.
We offer a range of supportive activities, including:
- Forest School – enjoying the outdoors, building resilience and teamwork.
- ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support) – helping children talk about and understand their emotions.
- LEGO® Therapy and Sand Play Therapy – encouraging problem-solving, communication and cooperation through play.
- Drawing and Talking Therapy and Big Empathy Drawing – giving children a gentle way to share what’s on their mind.
- Unearthing Boxes – using sensory activities to help children relax, reflect and express themselves.
Every child is unique, and our nurture team is here to give them the time and support they need to shine. This provision helps children feel ready to learn, enjoy school life, and grow in confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
