Digital Leaders

Digital Leaders at Ysgol Maes y Felin are a group of children that are experts at using computers, ipads and other devices. They have regular meetings with the ‘staff digital leaders’ where they are shown a focus app and given the time to explore it and learn how to use it. They are then asked to go back and teach the app to their class. We share evidence of this and how it went in the next meeting. Last year, some of the digital leaders took part in a learning walk and digital scrutiny alongside our ‘digital lead governor’ Mr Jones. They were also able to visit Ysgol Glan Aber to chat to their digital leaders and observe good practise. This year, we are hoping to set up regular Skype links with digital leaders in our local consortia as well as a hwb networking group to help us to share ideas.
